On June 30th, the Cranberry Golf Course held the first annual Cranberry Charity Golf Tournament for Georgian College. The tournament attracted a number of dignitaries, sponsors and local businesses. It included a full day of golf, silent auction, prizes and dinner at the Bear Estate. In total, the event raised $15,000 in support of the Georgian College.
The Cranberry Golf Resort and Living Water Resort & Residences has committed to donating $100,000 over multiple years to support Scholarship Programs and building developments at the South Georgian Bay Campus of Georgian College.
“We are deeply appreciative of the commitment Mr. Law and the team have made to support students attending Georgian College,” said Lisa Banks, Vice President, External Relations for Georgian College. “The donations will fund awards and scholarships benefitting those students most in need of financial assistance ensuring they can continue to pursue their studies leading to rewarding and successful careers.”
Resort owner Larry Law added that “We are proud to be able to take our business as a mission, a mission to help to build a more profound and harmonious community. It is not about me or you, it is about us”.
